Allmighty Carousel I'm spinning on this mighty magnet Vibrating with the restless atoms Enlivened by some strange electrons Held steady by the gravitation Created in a solar ferment, hard wired with electric current Excited by the radiation but we're kind of frightened since we split that atom Allmighty carousel let's hope we live to tell Don't know what's up or down, let's just keep spinning round We're pushing 'gainst a great inertia Mometum's gonna push us further Bombarded by the quarks and photons Kaleidescope of force and motion Allmighty carousel let's hope we live to tell Who knows what's up or down, let's just keep spinning round

about

This latest Charlie Marshall album features 11 tracks of high quality songwriting and soulful performance including some trademark romantic Charlie Marshall songs like the first track ‘Take the hand of this fool’ and the love song ‘Premonition’. My first composition combining music with my passion for science, the title track ‘Almighty Carousel’ – a bit of Physics 101 rock and roll about our amazing planet! ‘Never lose heart’, a keep-on-fighting manifesto type song in the vein of Curtis Mayfield’s classic ‘Move on up’. ‘Wrap me up’, an old song recorded with Cam Butler some years ago where we were inspired by the way The Baby’s song ‘Isn’t it time’ kicks into the chorus (not the greatest song ever but something stuck in my mind about it) and tried to create a similar excitement building up to our big chorus – ‘wrap me up in your life’. A great rock song with an ecological perspective – ‘Nature’s Invitation’. A bit of a funk groove with a big chorus – ‘Stay with me’
